Incredible Edible Knowsley’s Horti-Culture course was developed in collaboration with ArtsGroupie with the goal of educating children on the topic on horticulture in a fun and interactive way. The horticultural side of the course aims to teach children how to grow fresh fruit and veg “from soil to fork”, so that they may take more of an interest in the food they eat and possibly becoming more excited about a healthier and more organic diet. Meanwhile, the culture side involves more artistic themes such as performance and expression. The combination of these two aspects results in creative tasks and activities which may feature fictional characters and require active outdoor exploration.
